David comes from a long line of engineers, builders and educators and has always had an interest in applying those fundamentals in designing Financial Plans for his clients. After graduating from Sonoma State University in 2001 with degrees in Accounting, Finance and Economics, David worked in accounting firms doing tax preparation. He quickly decided it wasn’t a good fit for his skill set, and desired to work in a financial industry that allowed clients to be proactive, developing a plan and strategically implementing it.
Later that year, he transitioned to New York Life with a desire to help individuals, families and business owners build their financial future with a protection-first based approach while also utilizing his experience in tax preparing. As a Financial Planner and Investment Advisor Representative with Eagle Strategies LLC, David believes designing a customized financial strategy for his clients, is both a science and an art and finds great reward in the invaluable client relationships that make it all happen. Who doesn’t love seeing a good plan come together?!
